SBIC Noordwijk has widened its partner network and is pleased to introduce Code-P West. The company joined as a technical partner earlier in 2025 to offer support on product feasibility to startups and entrepreneurs. The support can cover various aspects for seamless smart custom solutions, such as high-end machining, turning and milling, surface treatments and fine-metal parts feasibility. This partnership strengthens SBIC’s offering of expertise available for its space business community. Read on to discover more and meet the Code-P team at the SBIC Demo Day.
In this interview, we share insights from our contact person of SBIC’s technical partner Code-P West, the operational director Mark van den Berg. From its headquarters in Noordwijkerhout, the company offers the right expertise to create customised solutions and achieve optimal results in terms of planning, lead time and costs. Whatever stage of the project, from initial concept development to pre-testing, prototyping, production and assembly, the one-stop-shop approach of Code-P West results in tailor-made solutions for a growing number of challenges in the industrial market. Mark explains further about the company below. Curious to know more? You can meet the Code-P crew at the SBIC Demo Day on 9 Dec.
What services does your company offer?
Code P stands for “Co-Development and Production.” We are a Dutch engineering and manufacturing company specialising in precision machining, electronics, product co-development and high-tech assembly. We support customers from prototype to series production and we specialise in difficult-to-produce precision parts with multiple steps – such as turning, milling, post-processing surface treatments (anodising, coating, polishing, etc.) – and assembly. Our goal is for you to focus on innovation and your main business, while we take care of the rest.
Would you like to share details about your team and the approach you take?
Our multidisciplinary team of 25 people combines mechanics, electronics and assembly. We take a one-stop-shop approach, offering a single point of contact for complete product realisation. We have a trusted supplier network built up over 20+ years of experience and knowledge that can help us realise your idea.
What draws you to our space business community?
The space sector demands precision, reliability and innovation. We see strong overlap with our expertise and want to support startups in bringing ideas to high-tech hardware. We have been working with Dutch space businesses for over 10 years and are proud to have contributed to this thriving community in the Netherlands.

What technical support can the ESA BIC startups make use of?
We can offer our 20+ years of knowledge and experience in manufacturability of ideas and designs. This practical knowledge has proven invaluable for scaling up in a later stage. Our team members have a passion for helping bring ideas to life and are very open to share their experience with our network.
What is it about the business of space that you find interesting?
The challenge of engineering for extreme conditions, the innovation it sparks, and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful missions in science and technology. We are engineers that are excited about everything technical and pushing the boundaries of manufacturability.
How can our community reach out?
Startups can contact us via email with their questions, concepts and/or drawings. We will set up a technical discussion after reviewing the information to explore feasibility and give our first feedback and possible next steps.
