ESA Commercialisation Days announces Paris event: Space Forum for Green Energy

This ESA Commercialisation Gateway event on 15 ad 16 April in Paris will drive forward the business ecosystem of both space and green energy. The various sessions will focus on the key actors within the space and energy sectors, and what exists at the intersection of these two industries, to foster collaboration and accelerate the transition to green energy across Europe and beyond. Geraldine Naja, the director of ESA’s department of Commercialisation, Industry and Competitiveness will open the event at the ESA headquarters in Paris. Discover the full programme.

Event Scope

The way we think about transportation is changing, with traditional models, both public and private, consistent

The event will look at the latest trends and user needs across the green energy sector, helping the audience to find out about the promising space based technologies, products and services from startups and industrial players, and meet ESA experts to understand how you can work with us and benefit from our funding opportunities and expertise.

Join us in Paris for two days of panel discussions, keynote speeches, elevator pitches and networking opportunities focusing around two key areas:

  • Energy sustainability: the commercialisation of space-based technologies to help leverage renewable energy in the context of the energy transition.

  • Energy resilience: the commercialisation of space-based technologies to help ensure continuous and affordable energy supply.

The event will also feature a networking cocktail dinner, with both speakers and participants, on a boat on the Seine in the heart of Paris.

Programme

The 2-day event will be split into various sessions. There promises to be an excellent programme of distinguished speakers, roundtable discussions with stakeholders (startups, industry and institutions), networking opportunities and elevator pitches from the ESA startup community.

  • What will I learn?

The need for innovative developments is key to securing a sustainable, continuous and affordable energy supply and this event will demonstrate how space solutions can support the green energy sector with energy generation and improvements to forecasts. Space-based solutions will play a key role in combating the climate crisis and enabling a green future. By attending this event you will find out more about how ESA supports and promotes innovative developments using space applications and data, how you can start to collaborate with us and what technical assistance and funding is available.

  • Who should attend?

Stakeholders from across the wider green energy sector, including those working in the hydro, ocean, solar and wind energy sectors, plus space technology providers working in the green energy sector, institutions and investors with an interest in the green transition.

  • What does it cost?

There is a charge of €150 to attend the event. All sessions and dinner are included.

The event will take place at the ESA headquarters in Paris.
